Not every course requires an interview — where one is needed, here's what to expect.
Online video interview
Most interviews are conducted online and last 15–20 minutes with a programme tutor.
Practical assessment
Health, care and creative courses may include a short practical or portfolio review.
Motivation & suitability
We're checking fit and motivation for the sector, not testing you — there's no need to prepare beyond being yourself.
Which courses require an interview?
Health & Social Care, Early Years Education, Public Services and most Creative Arts pathways include a short interview. You'll be notified in your application dashboard if your chosen course requires one, along with scheduling instructions.
