Practical guidance to help you prepare a strong UK Student visa application.
What you'll typically need
- A valid passport with at least 6 months remaining
- Your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) reference
- Proof of funds covering tuition and living costs
- Tuberculosis test results, if required for your country
- Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate, for select technical courses
Visa questions
You can apply up to 6 months before your course start date. We recommend applying as soon as you receive your CAS to allow time for processing.
