How to request a refund

  1. Email admissions@jwheatley.uk from the address you applied with, quoting your application reference.
  2. Attach any supporting evidence — for a visa refusal, the decision notice from UK Visas and Immigration.
  3. We acknowledge every request within two working days and confirm the outcome within ten.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned to the account or card the payment came from, in pounds sterling, within 21 days of approval. We cannot pay a refund to a third party. Any bank charges or currency-conversion differences applied by your own bank are not something we can reimburse.

Visa refusals

Visa decisions are made solely by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). Admission to a course does not guarantee visa approval.

Because a refusal is outside your control, the course and accommodation fees are refunded in full. The registration fee is not refunded, but it can be carried over to any start month within the following 12 months, so nothing is lost if you reapply.

If a refusal results from information you provided that proves to be false or misleading, this paragraph does not apply and no refund is due.

Deferring instead of refunding

You can move your place to a later start month once, free of charge, provided you tell us before your programme begins. Fees already paid transfer with you. A second deferral is treated as a withdrawal under the table above.

College closures

Our programmes pause for the Christmas and Easter college closures. Those weeks are not taught, your accommodation covers them, and they do not reduce the number of teaching weeks you receive — so no refund arises from them.

If you are unhappy with a decision

Reply to our decision email within 28 days and your case will be reviewed by the Bursar, who was not involved in the original decision. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
